The flower-braids and sideburns might be a bit much. But we love our grape-growing mates all over Australia, because (like us) they do grapes differently. Like pioneering alternate varieties and sustainable growing practices. And picking, sorting and de-MOG-ing* by hand, for human-powered quality control.
*MOG = Matter Other than Grapes (it’s a techy wine thing)
The solution: a tonne of premium pinot noir grapes and a mind-blowing homemade rose. After some missteps on packaging, we channelled some ancient ’60s wisdom and reinvented the wine pillow (which handily doubles as a floaty pillow, once empty).
Our reduced carbon footprint and sustainable growing practices speak to a modern vibe.
As much as the wines we produce hit the right notes in modern mouths. You’re just as likely to find an old-vine riesling from a far flung corner of south Australia, as you are a range of oddities, with heritage in Portugal or the South of Italy.
The wines are all about freshness, brightness, no-fuss drinkability and a healthy dose of irreverence.
Come along for the ride.
While you can still bag the Baby Boomers for many, many things, bagged wine is no longer one of them.
